Humana People to People started its activities in South Africa in 1995 under the name "Development Aid from People to People in South Africa" which was later changed to Humana People to People in South Africa, currently operating in five provinces.

Humana People to People in South Africa handed over the 3 TCE TRIO areas to the communities of Greater Tubatse and Kagiso in Sekhukhune and Main Reef respectively.

A significant achievement of Child Aid Tubatse is that it has been successful in sensitising the families, community members and key community leaders around the plight of orphans often who have lost their parents to AID.

TRIO-a program aimed at supporting HIV infected persons through monitoring of their ARV drug intake was in the month July,2008 conducted as workshop by TCE Mopani to the Field Officers in the project.

1750 TCE Field Officers who gathered in Mozambique for a 3 day F.O Gathering expressed at the closing of the event that they are on the right track in fighting HIV but felt there's more still to be done which they agreed that they'll do just that.

How Humana People to People has grown from second hand Clothes Collection to establishing Partnerships with governments, companies and donor agencies in and outside South Africa, all for the development and upliftment of disadvantaged communiites.

Humana People to People in South Africa wishes to work with government and invite other stakeholders inside and outside SA to join hands in the continued fight to improve conditions for the poor and the disadvantaged.

Humana empowers its staff members in every way possible, TCE staff members attended a 6 days workshop at Kwa-Zulu Natal Experimental College.

"Before TCE our people were lost when it comes to HIV and AIDS. People were not testing and were not disclosing their status." Says Councilor Mohlala

Humana People to People in South Africa believes that Child Aid is good model to address some of the challenges South African communities are faced with.

The District Aids Council in KwaZulu Natal Province made an important recognition to TCE Division in Ilembe after considering the project to be part of the District Aids Council.

The newly started HOPE Bushbuckridge, a project that empowers and supports the community through HIV Education and mobilization was given the permission to proceed with its activities by the local authorities in Bushbuckridge area.

The third phase of a TCE program is always the most critical.The stage entails keen preparation for its exit strategy as well as identification of an appropriately well organized community that will take and own the program after TCE is phased out.

Momentum, an insurance operating subsidiary company under the First Rand Group of banking companies has considerably made an agreement to Child Aid project in Bakenburg to support the Orphans and Vulnerable Children's program for the next 3 years .
