HIV and AIDS are ravaging our community. I deeply appreciate of the role of that HOPE Humana Bushbuckridge and TCE Bohlabela have played in the community. One of the main challenges faced in the community is a lack of information. Due to a lack of capacity, the Municipality is unable to reach out to all of the people who are infected and affected. Another challenge is that it is stressed that youth are the most affected by HIV and AIDS and most HIV awareness and mobilizing initiatives active within the community are targeted at youth. Campaigns also need to target adults.

I personally believe that it is important for people to be aware of HIV and AIDS, to know their own status, to protect themselves as well as to protect their partners.  

HOPE Humana demonstrates the importance of going to the people as people cannot always come to us. I would like to see HOPE Humana expand to reach all of the villages in the region, and reach as many people as possible.
