TIMES ARE CHANGING FOR SIX KNEC STUDENTS
HPPSA's Country Program Manager, Molatedi Diole, welcomed the eight representatives from Kingdom Slots, and HPPSA's Senior Partnership Manager, Mathews Tewesa, described the organization's programs, footprint, and history. Furthermore, the principal of KNEC explained how the institution empowers and trains students from poor backgrounds. Moreover, he stressed how the scholarship will not only benefit the six students, but also their communities and community-run preschools.
One of the six scholarship recipients, Thabo Magcaba, who is three weeks into the early childhood development programme at KNEC, expressed his gratitude. “I was fortunate to be introduced to this programme by one of the facilitators, Londeka Zimu, as she saw potential in me. The program has so far been a great experience for me, and I have learned a lot about teaching children under five and providing administrative support to preschool teachers. The scholarship will not only impact my life but will also benefit all the 6 students participating in the programme by equipping us with the necessary information and training us to become better teachers with a positive impact on our communities", says Thabo.&nb
